About Me
I graduated from UT Austin with a BA in Psychology in 2004 and my MA in Counseling Psychology from St. Edward's University in 2006.

I have 18 years of experience working with clients as an LPC. I am also a TX State Board Approved LPC Supervisor providing clinical supervision to LPC-Associates (post graduates in their clinical residency). As a therapist I've worked with individuals experiencing unhealthy relationship patterns, low self esteem, PTSD, emotional dysregulation, symptoms of borderline personality, and victims of narcissistic emotional abuse.

I draw from Dialectal Behavioral Therapy to address emotional regulation and processing, focusing on mindfulness and building self acceptance. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address negative self talk, recognize relationship patterns, and improve self esteem.
Therapy can be intimidating! Often people are not sure where to start and that's okay - I will help guide you through with questions. I believe in a laid back and warm approach, often incorporating humor because life is too short. I'm also a big believer in working towards change and steering clear of "vent session therapy." My belief is every single session should feel productive and edifying. I will gently challenge you along the way.

My job is my calling and my passion. I met my own share of struggles and mental health challenges from adolescence through early adulthood. Because of this, I will always meet a client where they are without admonishment, lecturing, or ounce of judgment. I am also LGBT affirming and honor multiculturalism, differing relationship structures, and spiritual diversity.

I grew up in the Austin area and have been living in Texas since the 1980s. I'm a mom of four and a huge fan of 90s nostalgia. I enjoy yoga, theater, podcasts, audiobooks, and stand up comedy.
